Ranger Tugs R-21EC
Since its introduction, the Ranger R-21EC has earned a loyal following among enthusiasts who enjoy cruising at its classic beat. And today it’s even better, with a boatload of improvements from greater interior volume and higher speed, to more responsive handling and convenient storage spaces.
Owners of this popular vessel have always measured fuel use in pints per hour, not gallons. With a refined hull design, the new Ranger R-21EC delivers significantly higher speeds and even better economy, bringing more cruise destinations within easy reach.
And with a new cabin design that’s eighteen inches longer and seven inches winder, there’s room inside for pilot and companion seats, head, galley cabinet and a lager berth....greater comfort to make the trip all the more worthwhile.
Inspired by a traditional Bristol Bay trawler design, the Ranger R-21EC will never go out of style, ensuring both lasting appeal and maximum resale value. Easily trailerable, this boat rewards its owner with a level of versatility that few other cruisers can match.
Ranger Tugs R-25SC & R-27 Series
Real cruising is as much about the journey as the destination...and the all-new Ranger R25SC & R-27 is all about both.
Designed to provide maximum comfort and versatility in an easy-to-own, easy-to-operate trailerable mini-yacht, the new R25SC and R-27 offer a full 8-1/2 foot beam for roomy on-deck areas and large interior spaces. Private compartments allow sleeping accommodations for up to five.
There’s an enclosed head with shower, sink and marine toilet, a helm with full instrumentation and an optional navigation package, and a galley with sink, stove and refrigerator. Large cabin windows and overhead skylight hatches help brighten the interior and offer a panoramic view all around.
The roomy self-bailing cockpits are ideal for fishing or outdoor relaxation, transom door leads to a full swim platform, and there’s room atop the deckhouse for stowing anything from crab pots to kayaks.
Standard diesel inboard power delivers exceptional fuel economy, even at planning speeds. Available options allow customizing the Ranger R-25SC and R-27 series for comfortable year round cruising and effortless operation.
Ranger Tugs R-25SC
The SC in R25SC stands for Sport Cockpit. The SC cockpit (aft deck) is 25% larger than our original R25 giving it nearly 50 sq ft of aft deck space. The larger cockpit also lends itself to more above and below deck storage and makes for easy access to the standard Yanmar 4BY2 150 HP Yanmar diesel. The Yanmar engine is located entirely outside of the cabin making for smooth, quiet cruising. The standard bow and stern thruster provide for excellent maneuverability around the dock and the 8’ 6” beam allows the boat to be easily trailered.
Ranger Tugs R-27
The new R27 has nearly 50 Sq ft of aft deck space making the cockpit 25% larger than the original R25. This allows for easy access to the standard 180 HP Yanmar diesel and keeps the engine noise out of the cabin. The larger cockpit also lends itself to more above and below deck storage. The well appointed cabin has a mid-ship office with desk and chair, this space also converts to a berth that sleeps two. The dinette table is on a hydraulic piston that allows for an easy conversion to a berth or lounging area. The spacious front v-berth sleeps two adults and is over 6'5" in length. Cooks will love the standard galley which includes a sink, refrigerator, inverter, microwave and a combination propane stove/oven. The marine head is standard with an electric flush toilet, glass vessel sink and shower.
Available options allow for customizing the Ranger R-27 for comfortable year round cruising and effortless operation. Yacht size features like standard bow and stern thrusters provide for excellent maneuverability around the dock and the 8'6" beam allows the boat to be easily trailered. Solar panels are an option for the 2011 model year on all of our models including the new Ranger R27.
Ranger Tugs R-29
The Ranger R-29 incorporates many large yacht features that will be appreciated by the experienced Skipper. A convenient pilot house door at the helm opens directly to the outside deck for quick access to deck and dock lines. Bow and stern thrusters greatly enhance maneuvearability.
The forward stateroom features and island berth with separate head and shower. Combined with mid-ship stateroom with its bi-folding privacy door, you can comfortably sleep six. The full featured Galley makes entertaining easy for short trips and longer cruises.
A 15 knot cruising speed gives you the speed to fight the current and get to your destination fast while providing fuel economy that is nothing short of amazing. The added versatility of being trailered gives you access to some of the most remote cruising areas.
